Hand blown glass vaseBathrooms are all about escape or a little oasis of calm.
The following are a few ideas of how to create a spa bathroom feel with a serene and fresh surrounding look.
- Light in a bathroom is critical, that’s why when you renovate, add large windows, build in skylights and/or roof lanterns.
- Choose a color that sooths your personality and your soul that inspires your passion and lifts your spirit.
- Add decorative faucets that have personality.
- Use more natural elements for your floor and accent accessories.
- A uniquely elegant sink.
- Showers with body sprays and rain heads.
- Organic shaped mirror above the sink.
- Install invisible speakers for music.
- Steam generators in showers with reservoirs for essential oils.
- A glass cylinder filled with river rocks and a few bamboo sticks would bring that serenity and “zen” feel into your bathroom.

If you would like to take it to the next level and if the space permits, create a stunning space locating a gas fireplace opposite the tub. Or:
- Install a mini fridge and a flat screen television.
- Warm-rail heated towels racks.
- Bring in comfy chairs, ottomans and lamps.
- Combine functional and decorative lighting.
- A crystal chandelier would be a beautiful accent that adds sparkle to any bathroom.
- A nickel finish cart can hold soft cotton folded towels, aromatherapy candles and elegant lidded glass urns filled with bath bombs or bath salts.
- A basket with your favorite loofah and spa sea sponges and a few sea stars and corals would give the final touch.
- Fresh cut flowers in a beautiful hand blown glass vase would finish the look that you have dreamed of.
We hope these ideas would help you in your journey to create a bathroom that delivers a spa experience.

Unique Hand Painted Glass Candy DishThis unique hand painted glass candy dish is part of our “Timeless Collection”, Fantezia.
The reason I call this our “timeless collection”, is because I truly believe that the design will never go out of style. The soft combination of colors that the artisans had chosen for this line, match anybody’s home decor. If the accent color in your room is red, the color red from this candy dish picks up and is enhanced by that room accent color.

Unique Hand Painted Martini Glasses - Valencia CollectionA cocktail glass or martini glass, is a drinking glass with a cone-shaped bowl on a stem above a flat base, used to serve a cocktail or champagne. The stem allows the drinker to hold the glass without affecting the temperature of the drink.
We love these unique hand painted martini glasses in the Valencia Line because they are not only stunning, but the quality and the style make them a conversation piece at any party.

The Valencia Collection is a fabulous, conversation invoking line, hand painted with a specialized brush in a combination of yellow, red and blue pigment. After painting, a golden “paste” is applied to the surface in a method that makes this line stand out from so many other hand painted lines.
Individually designed by Romanian glassblowers and then painted with subtle abstract designs, these art works inspire emotion and are both decorative and functional.

Hand Blown Perfume BottlesThe art of making perfume began in ancient Egypt but was developed and further refined by the Romans and the Arabs. The first form of perfume was incense.
The word perfume comes from the Latin phrase, “per” meaning “through” and “fumus” meaning smoke.” The French later gave the name perfume to the pleasant smells that drift through the air from burning incense. France quickly became the European center of perfume and cosmetic manufacturing.
Perfumes were used primarily by royalty and wealthy people.
The use of perfume in France grew steadily. By the 18th century, aromatic plants were being grown in the Grasse region of France to provide the growing perfume industry with raw materials. Even today, France remains the centre of the European perfume design and trade industry.
Egyptians took pride in the beautiful containers that held their perfumes. Those perfume bottles were things of great beauty. The containers were made from materials such as alabaster, glass, ebony, and porcelain.
Europeans have long been known for their talented glass blowers. They came up with their own exquisite and elegant collections. At homedecorbylulu.com we are happy to feature a one of a kind collection of hand blown perfume bottles that embodies the unique imagination and expertise of glass artist Ion Tamaian. All these beautiful glass perfume bottles are stunning and sophisticated. It would make a perfect gift for any occasion.

Valencia Red Wine Glass.JPGAny of you that have had a chance to visit Romania or know people from this old country probably know by now that Sunday is a day for rest that is reserved for spending quality time with family and friends maybe enjoying a leisurely lunch or supper together. When I was a child and still leaving with my parents, I couldn’t wait for Sundays to come. Traditionally my mother would prepare the table getting us kids involved in the day. I remembered my father saying “take out the fancy wine glasses, it’s Sunday!” Yes, this is the Romanian way. When you have guests you make sure that the beautiful etched crystal is out and on the table.
I didn’t no at that time that one day thousands of glasses will pass my hands.
Now, I am more then happy to tell you that one of the connections that we have with Romania is working with some of the best Romanian glass artisans.

Most North Americans know about Bram Stoker’s Dracula and Bran Castle set in Transylvania, but what they don’t know is that Transylvania is a province of Romania. In western imagination, Transylvania evokes a dark land of black magic and vampires.
Transylvania and Romania is more then that, it is a country reach in history, rustic beauty and hospitality.
It is also a country that has a long history in glassblowing.
The Romanian artisans have passed their skills from generation to generation for hundreds of years.
For us, it is very important that we handpicked each product. The quality of the glass is one of the best produced in Europe. Each piece is individually mouth blown and hand painted and shouldn’t be confused with cheap copies or machine made product. The pigments that have been used to color the glass are from Germany.
At homedecorbylulu.com we feature unique lines of glassware and decorative art glass, from the traditional red wine glasses, flutes, oil lamps, bowls, plates, candle holders, candy dishes, decanters, vases to the intricate, contemporary pieces of art, we made sure that we have the right product to satisfy your needs.
Now, you can choose from our most popular lines to brighten up your table and make your guests feel welcome.
Fantezia Line – our best seller over the years, perfect for a wedding gift.
Valencia Line – a fabulous, conversation invoking line, the most dramatic of all.
Lady Line – a line with the contemporary feel.
Geea Line – an exquisite and elegant line.

These are only some of the glass collections that we feature at www.homedecorylulu.com. We hope you love them as much as we do.
