decorative glass bowlsYou need not be Martha Stewart to make your home look pleasant and inviting. The key is to know how to mix and match accents and decors already found in your home. Just a little of this and a little of that can go a long way.

Take for instance a lonely dining table. Bring it to life by adding a colorful table runner and then creating a table centerpiece. The centerpiece need not be expensive either. It could be a couple of decorative glass bowls filled with blooms handpicked from the garden. It could also be filled with pinecones and fruits. You’d be surprised at what you can create with the items that are readily found in your home.

baby blanketAs fully developed adults, it’s hard for us to put ourselves in the tiny shoes of a newborn baby. Infants are veritable sponges of knowledge, soaking up vast amounts of information from their external environment. Babies learn something new every day; in fact, they learn dozens if not hundreds of things. For a newborn baby, the world is full of mysterious and unfamiliar sights and sounds. It’s enough to become overwhelming.

That’s where baby blankets come in. The baby blanket serves as the baby’s rock; it’s a safe, familiar item that’s always there. These constant companions hold a prestigious place in the baby’s crib until he develops the confidence to go on without it. It also doesn’t hurt that blankets are soft and comfortable – even infants appreciate a little luxury when they can get it.
