Valencia Red Wine Glass.JPGAny of you that have had a chance to visit Romania or know people from this old country probably know by now that Sunday is a day for rest that is reserved for spending quality time with family and friends maybe enjoying a leisurely lunch or supper together. When I was a child and still leaving with my parents, I couldn’t wait for Sundays to come. Traditionally my mother would prepare the table getting us kids involved in the day. I remembered my father saying “take out the fancy wine glasses, it’s Sunday!” Yes, this is the Romanian way. When you have guests you make sure that the beautiful etched crystal is out and on the table.
I didn’t no at that time that one day thousands of glasses will pass my hands.
Now, I am more then happy to tell you that one of the connections that we have with Romania is working with some of the best Romanian glass artisans.

Most North Americans know about Bram Stoker’s Dracula and Bran Castle set in Transylvania, but what they don’t know is that Transylvania is a province of Romania. In western imagination, Transylvania evokes a dark land of black magic and vampires.
Transylvania and Romania is more then that, it is a country reach in history, rustic beauty and hospitality.
It is also a country that has a long history in glassblowing.
The Romanian artisans have passed their skills from generation to generation for hundreds of years.
For us, it is very important that we handpicked each product. The quality of the glass is one of the best produced in Europe. Each piece is individually mouth blown and hand painted and shouldn’t be confused with cheap copies or machine made product. The pigments that have been used to color the glass are from Germany.
At homedecorbylulu.com we feature unique lines of glassware and decorative art glass, from the traditional red wine glasses, flutes, oil lamps, bowls, plates, candle holders, candy dishes, decanters, vases to the intricate, contemporary pieces of art, we made sure that we have the right product to satisfy your needs.
Now, you can choose from our most popular lines to brighten up your table and make your guests feel welcome.
Fantezia Line – our best seller over the years, perfect for a wedding gift.
Valencia Line – a fabulous, conversation invoking line, the most dramatic of all.
Lady Line – a line with the contemporary feel.
Geea Line – an exquisite and elegant line.

These are only some of the glass collections that we feature at www.homedecorylulu.com. We hope you love them as much as we do.
